From the Home Team—We’ve Transitioned to PayPal
As you may have heard, our team has been in the process of transitioning from the New Earth Pay Portal (aka HyperWallet) to PayPal for electronically processing commission payments. As of last week, this transition has officially been completed!
With that being said, let’s talk about what this means for you…
1. If you are currently using an alternate payment method (anything except the New Earth Pay Portal) this will not impact your commission payments. You will continue to receive payments via that method.
2. If you have been using the New Earth Pay Portal, all of your future payments will be issued through PayPal. This means that in order to continue receiving your commission payments in a timely manner, you will need to provide us with your PayPal information by following the steps below.
3. If you do not currently have a payment method selected in your Business Portal, you will need to login to your Business Portal and provide us with your PayPal information in order to start receiving commission payments.
Getting Set Up With PayPal
If you fall into groups 2 or 3 on this list, then you will want to follow these steps to set up PayPal as soon as possible.
1. Create a PayPal Account. If you do not already have a personal PayPal account set up, you will need to create one here. If you find you need a little help with the setup process, this walkthrough video is a great resource to turn to.
Helpful Tip: When setting up your PayPal account, we recommend using the email address that is already associated with your New Earth Business Account. This will keep things simple and minimize confusion on both sides.
2. Add Your PayPal Information to Your New Earth Business Portal. Once you have your PayPal account created, you will need to provide New Earth with the email address associated with your PayPal account so we are able to send payments to you. Follow the steps below to get your PayPal information entered correctly.
Once these two steps have been completed, you will once again be eligible to receive your New Earth commission payments in a timely manner.
How do I add my PayPal account to the Business Portal?
- Login to your Business Portal Account.
- Click on the “Settings” tab in the left hand menu.
- Click on “Payment”
- Click the drop down under “Payment Method” and select “PayPal.”
- In the box that appears, enter the email address you have connected to your PayPal account (the one you use to sign into PayPal with).
- Click “save changes”
A Note About Fees
Starting with payments issued during the August 2024 pay period (for activity during July 2024), there will be a $1 Data Processing (DP) fee for each commission payment issued via PayPal. This fee will be deducted from your earnings at the time the payment is issued.
