Do you live for the future?
This may seem like a strange question, but it is very important when it comes to the success of your New Earth business. You’re probably thinking “but wait, every lifestyle guru out there says I need to live for the moment.” So which is it, do I need to live for the past, present or future? When it comes to your New Earth business, the future is where it’s at.
This question can be broken down into a few supporting questions: Are you a student or an expert? Are you living today to give yourself something to build upon tomorrow? Are you creating momentum for tomorrow and the days to come?
So are you a student or an expert? Do you spend your time telling stories and reliving the glory days of your past successes and accomplishments? Or do you pick the brains of new emerging leaders, attend New Earth University and dedicate time to learn new skills and techniques? A student would do the latter and find far more future success. No matter how long you have been in the industry, how many successful businesses you have built, millions you have made or books you have written, it is imperative to always be a student.
Are you living today to give yourself something to build upon tomorrow? Tomorrow is your future, another day to move closer to accomplishing your goals. What you do today sets you up for tomorrow’s successes. Do you have your daily checklist that you work your way through? We are not talking about busy work here. We are talking about small actions that lead up to big movement. Are you spending time with your team? Encouraging them, coaching them, seeing how you can help grow their business? Are you reaching out to customers and prospects daily? Are you out networking, developing new relationships? If the answer is yes, fantastic, keep it up! If the answer is no, it might be time to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself what you really want out of this business.
Are you creating momentum for tomorrow and the days to come? Momentum starts with future thinking, creating goals and developing a map of how you are going to get from A to Z. From there all it takes is getting the ball rolling and keeping it rolling. The longer it rolls, the easier and faster it moves and harder it becomes to stop. The key is taking action each day to move toward your goals.
What you do today—right now—determines the future you hope to create. Don’t forget; you are not in this alone, you have your entire New Earth team behind you on this journey.
